UPDATE: Dollar Tree Posts Drop In Q4 Profit, Issues Weak Forecast
Dollar Tree (NASDAQ: DLTR) reported a 6.8% drop in its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings.
For the new year, Dollar Tree expects a profit of $2.91 to $3.13 per share on revenue of $8.35 billion to $8.58 billion. However, analysts projected earnings of $3.25 per share on revenue of $8.6 billion.
Dollar Tree's quarterly profit declined to $213 million, from a year-ago profit of $228.6 million. Its per share earnings climbed to $1.02 versus $1.01.
Its sales slipped 0.5% to $2.23 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.05 per share on sales of $2.28 billion.
Dollar Tree shares fell 3.47% to $50.86 in pre-market trading.
