Duke Energy
DUK reported a rise in its third-quarter profit.
Duke Energy's quarterly net income surged to $1 billion, or $1.42 per share, from $594 million, or $0.85 per share, in the year-earlier quarter. Excluding one-time items, it earned $1.46 per share.
Its operating revenue declined to $6.71 billion.
Duke Energy now projects full-year adjusted profit of $4.25 to $4.45 per share, versus its earlier forecast of $4.20 to $4.45 per share.
Duke Energy shares fell 0.35% to $72.20 in pre-market trading.
