United Therapeutics posted its quarterly net income at $62.7 million, or $1.17 per share, down from $78.1 million, or $1.46 per share, in the year-ago period. Its total revenue climbed 25% to $302.2 million. However, analysts were estimating a profit of $1.59 per share on sales of $279 million. Its selling, general and administrative expenses rose 37% in the quarter. United Therapeutics shares closed at $83.39 yesterday.
