China Mobile H1 Net Profit Rises 1.5%

China Mobile

reported a 1.5% rise in its net profit in the first half of the year. China Mobile's net profit for the six months surged to 63.1 billion yuan, versus a year-ago profit of CNY62.20 billion. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of CNY62.338 billion. Its operating revenue climbed 10.4% to CNY303.1 billion from CNY266.53 billion, versus estimates of CNY281.42 billion. The company also declared a dividend of HK$1.696 in the first half, versus HK$1.633. China Mobile shares closed at $54.59 yesterday.
