SSE Posts Higher Full-Year Profit, Lifts Dividend

posted a rise in its full-year headline profits. SSE's headline profit for the period surged to 1.41 billion pounds ($2.14 billion). It also lifted its dividend by 5.1%. SSE's adjusted profit before tax rose 5.6% to GBP1.41 billion, from GBP1.34 billion, in the year-ago period. Its net profit climbed to GBP425.9 million from GBP197.8 million, while revenue dropped 11% to GBP28.30 billion from GBP31.72 billion. SSE shares closed at $25.54 yesterday.
