UPDATE: NYSE Euronext Q1 Profit Rises 44%

reported a 44% gain in its first-quarter net profit. NYSE Euronext's quarterly net income surged to $126 million, or $0.52 per share, versus $87 million, or $0.34 per share, in the year-ago period. Excluding one-time items, its net income came in at $0.57 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $0.56 per share. Its net revenue declined 0.2% to $600 million, missing estimates of $605 million. NYSE Euronext shares closed at $38.65 yesterday.
