Standard Life Posts Higher Full-Year Profit, Announces Special Dividend

Standard Life PLC reported an increase in its full-year net profit and announced a special dividend of 12.8p. Standard Life's revenue for the year surged to GBP19.19 billion, versus GBP9.09 billion, in the year-ago period. Its pretax profit climbed to GBP996 million from GBP595 million, while net profit rose to GBP698 million from GBP298 million.
