UPDATE: Omnicom Posts Upbeat Q4 Profit

Omnicom Group

reported a higher-than-expected Q4 profit. Omnicom's quarterly net income surged to $307.1 million, or $1.13 per share, versus $271.9 million, or $0.96 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed 2.4% to $3.94 billion, while international revenue declined 0.3%. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.09 per share on revenue of $3.93 billion. Omnicom shares closed at $55.36 yesterday.
