Nordea Posts Higher Q4 Profit

reported a rise in its fourth-quarter profit. Nordea proposed a 2012 dividend of EUR0.34 per share, versus EUR0.26 in the prior year. Its quarterly net profit surged to EUR840 million from EUR785 million, versus estimates of EUR781 million. Nordea's net interest income came in at EUR1.43 billion, versus estimates of EUR1.42 billion. Nordea shares closed at $10.48 yesterday.
