Unilever Posts Higher Net Profit

Unilever plc

reported a 5.4% gain in its net profit. Unilever's net profit for the fiscal year surged to 4.48 billion euros ($5.96 billion), versus 4.25 billion euros, in the year-ago period. Its sales climbed 7.8%. The company proposed a quarterly dividend of 0.243 euros per share. Unilever shares closed at $39.02 yesterday.
