posted a loss in the third quarter. Forest Laboratories posted a quarterly loss of $153.6 million, or $0.58 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $278.4 million, or $1.04 per share. Its adjusted loss came in at $0.21 per share. Its net revenue declined to $722.7 million from $1.21 billion. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.11 per share. Forest Labs projects FY13 adjusted profit to be at the lower end of its earlier view of $0.45 to $0.60 per share. Forest Laboratories shares closed a $37.59 yesterday.
