UPDATE: Infosys Posts Upbeat Q3 Profit, Lifts Revenue Forecast

reported upbeat third-quarter profit and lifted its revenue outlook. For the year ending March 31, Infosys lifted its sales view to at least $7.45 billion. Infosys' quarterly profit came in at 23.69 billion rupees ($434 million), versus 23.7 billion rupees, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a profit of 21 billion rupees. Its revenue climbed 12% to 104.24 billion rupees from 93 billion, versus analysts' estimates of 96.8 billion rupees. Infosys shares closed at $43.95 yesterday.
