UPDATE: Tyco FQ4 Revenue Down 2.5%

Tyco International Ltd

posted a loss in the fiscal fourth quarter. Tyco posted a quarterly loss of $419 million, or $0.91 per share, versus a year-ago profit of $397 million, or $0.84 per share. Excluding one-time items, its adjusted earnings from continuing operations declined to $0.33 from $0.43 per share. Its revenue fell 2.5% to $2.73 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.35 per share on revenue of $2.72 billion. Tyco's operating margin declined to 5.6% from 7.9%. Tyco shares closed at $27.33 yesterday.
