Babcock International H1 Pretax Profit Rises 31%

Babcock International Group PLC

posted a 31% increase in its fiscal first half 2013 pretax profit. Babcock International's revenue for the period rose to GBP1,450.3 million, from GBP1,383.9 million, in the year-ago period. Its operating profit increased to GBP108.8 million from GBP94.1 million, while profit before tax rose to GBP101.9 million from GBP77.8 million.
