UPDATE: General Dynamics Posts Drop In Q3 Profit

reported a drop in its third-quarter earnings. General Dynamics' quarterly net earnings declined to $600 million, or $1.70 per share, from $652 million, or $1.80 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its revenue fell to $7.85 billion from $7.93 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.78 per share on sales of $8.03 billion. General Dynamics shares closed at $66.21 yesterday.
