UPDATE: KeyCorp Posts Upbeat Q3 Profit

KeyCorp

reported a 0.9% rise in its third-quarter profit. KeyCorp's quarterly profit surged to $219 million, from $217 million, in the year-ago period. Its per-share earnings rose to $0.23 from $0.22. KeyCorp's total revenue climbed 8.1% to $1.12 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.21 per share on revenue of $1.03 billion. KeyCorp shares closed at $8.41 yesterday.
