Jean Coutu Posts Lower Q2 Profit

Canada's Jean Coutu Group

reported a drop in its second-quarter profit. Jean Coutu's quarterly net profit declined to C$51.2 million ($52.3 million), or 23 Canadian cents per share, versus C$66.4 million, or 29 Canadian cents per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue surged to C$658.7 million, versus C$635.2 million.
