Analogic
ALOG reported a strong rise its net income in the fiscal fourth quarter.
Analogic's quarterly net income surged to $12.1 million, or $0.96 per share, from $5.6 million, or $0.45 per share, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting net income of $0.74 per share.
Its revenue climbed 12% to $151 million from $135.3 million. Its medical imaging revenue fell to $81.1 million from $81.4 million, while ultrasound revenue climbed to $41.6 million from $34.7 million. Analogic's security technology revenue surged to $28.3 million from $19.2 million.
In full-year fiscal 2012, Analogic's net income jumped to $43.1 million, or $3.42 per share, versus $17.8 million, or $1.42 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue gained 9% to $516.6 million from $473.6 million.
Analogic shares jumped 10.92% to $76.75 in after-hours trading.
