UPDATE: Shuffle Master Posts Downbeat FQ3 Results
Shuffle Master (NASDAQ: SHFL) reported a 14% rise in its fiscal third-quarter profit.
Shuffle Master's quarterly profit climbed to $10.4 million, or $0.18 per share, versus $9.1 million, or $0.17 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its revenue rose 8.7% to $63.4 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.20 per share on revenue of $68 million.
Shuffle Master's gross margin climbed to 63.1% from 62.1%.
Shuffle Master shares dipped 6.80% to $14.38 in the after-hours trading session.
