Dollar General
DG posted a rise in its second-quarter profit and lifted its earnings view for the year.
Dollar General's quarterly earnings surged to $214.1 million, or $0.64 per share, from $146 million, or $0.42 per share, in the year-ago period.
Its sales climbed 10.4% to $3.95 billion, while sales at stores open at least a year rose 5.1%.
Dollar General projects earnings of $2.77 to $2.85 per share for this fiscal year, versus its earlier view of $2.68 to $2.78 per share.
Dollar General shares gained 4.62% to $53.00 in pre-market trading.
