CEZ Posts Higher Q2 Net Profit

posted a rise in its net profit for the second quarter. CEZ's quarterly net profit surged to 12.8 billion Czech koruna ($626.8 million), from CZK6.73 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of CZK7.83 billion. Its revenue climbed 12% to CZK52.2 billion, from CZK46.75 billion. However, analysts were expecting revenue of CZK50.73 billion. CEZ shares closed at $35.80 yesterday.
