Bharti Airtel Q1 Net Profit Down 37%

Bharti Airtel Ltd reported a 37% drop in its net profit for the first-quarter. Bharti Airtel's quarterly net profit dropped to 7.62 billion rupees ($141 million), versus 12.15 billion rupees, in the year-ago period. Its consolidated revenue climbed 14% to 193.50 billion rupees, versus 169.75 billion rupees. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of 11.80 billion rupees on revenue of 195.42 billion rupees.
