UPDATE: John Wiley Posts Upbeat Q4 Profit

John Wiley & Sons Inc

reported a better-than-expected fourth-quarter profit. John Wiley's quarterly profit rose to $48.3 million, or $0.80 per share, from $28.6 million, or $0.46 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue gained 2% to $454.6 million. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.73 per share on revenue of $454.7 million. John Wiley shares closed at $45.00 yesterday.
