UPDATE: AutoZone Posts Rise In Q3 Profit

posted an increase in its third-quarter profit. AutoZone's domestic same-store sales surged around 4%. AutoZone's quarterly net income surged to $248.6 million, or $6.28 per share, versus $227.4 million, or $5.29 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales gained 7%to $2.11 billion. AutoZone shares closed at $368.55 yesterday.
