UPDATE: Chico's Posts Rise In Q1 Profit

posted a rise in its first-quarter profit. Chico's quarterly net income climbed to $53.6 million, or $0.32 per share, versus $45.9 million, or $0.26 per share, in the year-ago period. Chico's sales surged around 21% to $650.8 million. Chico's shares gained 7.57% to $15.77 in pre-market trading.
