UPDATE: Elbit Systems Posts Upbeat Q1 Results, Declares Dividend

reported upbeat first-quarter results. It also projects an increase in 2012 revenue and profit. Elbit's quarterly diluted earnings per share rose to $0.77, from $0.65 in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed to $690.8 million from $620.3 million. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.66 per share on revenue of $657.8 million. Elbit's board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.30 per share. Elbit shares gained 2.06% to $35.12 in pre-market trading.
