swung to a net loss in the first quarter. Carlsberg posted a quarterly net loss of DKK76 million, versus a year-ago net profit of DKK173 million. Its consolidated profit declined to DKK44 million, from DKK261 million, and versus analysts' estimates of DKK242.1 million. Carlsberg's total sales climbed to DKK12.87 billion from DKK12.53 billion.
