JDS Uniphase Falls 4% After Q3 Results
JDS Uniphase (NASDAQ: JDSU) released its fiscal Q3 earnings results after the closing bell on Wednesday. The company reported a GAAP net loss of $17.4 million or $0.08 per share, versus net income of $38.6 million or $0.16 per share, in the year ago period.
On a non-GAAP basis, net income was $25.3 million or $0.11 per share, compared to $51.0 million or $0.22 per share, in last year's corresponding quarter.
This compared to Wall Street analysts' consensus EPS estimates of $0.11.
Net revenue in the quarter fell to $409.2 million compared to $454.0 million last year.
This missed Wall Street consensus revenue estimates of $420.27 million.
Looking ahead to the fiscal fourth-quarter, JDS Uniphase expects non-GAAP net revenue in a range between $414 million and $435 million.
This is below analysts' consensus revenue estimates of $456.56 million for the fourth-quarter.
In Wednesday's after hours trading session, JDSU shares have lost 3.74% to $11.59.
