AB Foods Posts Increase In H1 Profit

posted an increase in its first-half profit. AB Foods' net profit for the period rose to GBP250 million, versus 241 million, in the year-ago period. Its operating profit before exceptionals climbed 6% to GBP412 million from GBP390 million. Its revenue surged 11% to GBP5.77 billion from GBP5.21 billion. AB Foods also declared an interim dividend of 8.5 pence.
