UPDATE: Brinker Posts Upbeat FQ3 Profit

Brinker International Inc

reported a better-than-expected profit in the fiscal third-quarter. Brinker's quarterly net income surged to $44.9 million, from $40.2 million in the year-ago period. Its adjusted earnings came in at $0.60 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $0.56 per share. Brinker's revenue rose to $742 million, from $717.1 million, versus analysts' estimates of $729.8 million. Brinker shares jumped 5.73% to $29.50 in pre-market trading.
