TJX Companies Inc
TJX posted a rise in its fiscal fourth-quarter profit. TJX's quarterly profit surged to $475.3 million, or $0.62 per share, versus $334.4 million, or $0.42 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales surged 6% to $6.71 billion. Its comparable sales climbed 7%. TJX expects profit of $0.45 to $0.47 per share for the first quarter and $2.21 to $2.31 per share this fiscal year. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.62 per share in the fourth quarter, $0.46 per share in the first quarter and $2.27 for the new fiscal year.
Chico's FAS Inc
CHS posted a 21% rise in its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings. Chico's FAS expects fiscal 2012 sales of around $2.5 billion, versus analysts' estimates of $2.43 billion. Chico's FAS posted its quarterly profit at $25.1 million, or $0.15 per share, versus $20.7 million, or $0.12 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales surged 20% to $569.2 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.11 per share on revenue of $547 million.
Donaldson Co
DCI posted a 21% rise in its fiscal second-quarter earnings. Donaldson now expects full-year earnings of $3.25 to $3.45 per share on sales growth of 7% to 12%, versus its earlier forecast for $3.25 to $3.50 per share on sales growth of 7% to 15%. Donaldson's quarterly profit surged to $53.8 million, or $0.70 per share, from a year-ago profit of $44.6 million, or $0.56 per share. Its net sales climbed 8.2% to $580.9 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.71 per share on revenue of $604 million.
Dollar Tree Inc
DLTR posted a rise in its fourth-quarter profit. Dollar Tree's quarterly profit surged to $187.9 million, or $1.60 per share, from $162.5 million, or $1.29 per share, in the year-ago period. Its shares outstanding declined to 117.6 million from 125.8 million. Its sales climbed 13% to $1.95 billion. Dollar Tree expects profit of $0.91 to $0.97 per share in the first quarter and profit of $4.65 to $4.90 per share for the year. Analysts were expecting earnings of $1.58 per share for the fourth quarter, $0.97 per share for the first quarter and $4.79 per share for the year.
Zale Corp
ZLC posted a 6% rise in its profit in its fiscal second quarter. Zale's quarterly profit surged to $28.8 million, or$0.77 PER share, from a year-ago profit of $27.2 million, or $0.73 per share. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.77 per share. Zale's revenue surged 6% to $663.8 million. Its same-store sales gained 5.8%.
Eaton Vance Corp
EV posted a 26% rise in its fiscal first-quarter earnings. Eaton Vance's quarterly profit surged to $47.3 million, or $0.40 per share, from a year-ago profit of $37.5 million, or $0.30 per share. Its revenue fell 4.2% to $295.6 million. Its adjusted profit came in at $0.47 per share. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.44 per share on revenue of $298 million.
Rogers Communications Inc
RCI posted an 8% rise in its fourth-quarter earnings. Rogers Communications lifted its quarterly dividend by 11% to 39.5 Canadian cents per share. Rogers' quarterly earnings surged to C$327 million, or 61 Canadian cents per share, versus C$302 million, or 50 Canadian cents per share, in the year-ago period. Its adjusted earnings climbed 10% to C$372 million, or 70 Canadian cents per share. However, analysts were expecting earnings of 67 Canadian cents per share. Rogers Communications' revenue rose to C$3.18 billion from C$3.14 billion, versus analysts' estimates of C$3.20 billion.
Partner Communications Co
PTNR posted a decline in its net profit. Partner Communications' profit dropped 57% to 132 million shekels ($35.3 million), versus ILS304 million, in the year-ago period. Its revenue fell 9.8% to ILS1.59 billion. Partner Communications' operating margin declined to 16.8% from 26.1%. Its cellular subscriber base rose 0.5% to 3.18 billion from 3.16 billion.
MGM Resorts International
posted a narrower fourth-quarter loss. MGM Resorts posted a quarterly loss of $113.7 million, or $0.23 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $139.2 million, or $0.29 per share. Its revenue surged 56% to $2.3 billion. However, analysts were expecting a loss of $0.19 per share on revenue of $2.22 billion.
Windstream Corp
WIN swung to a fourth-quarter loss. Windstream posted a quarterly loss of $31.9 million, or $0.06 per share, versus year-ago earnings of $56.5 million, or $0.10 per share. Excluding some items, Windstream's adjusted earnings came in at $0.19 per share. Its revenue climbed 23% to $1.21 billion. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.20 per share on revenue of $1.1 billion.

posted a 52% decline in its fourth-quarter earnings. Cinemark's quarterly profit dropped to $18.3 million, or $0.16 per share, from $38 million, or $0.33 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue climbed 2.1% to $535.9 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.18 per share on revenue of $532 million.
R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co
RRD swung to a fourth-quarter loss. R.R. Donnelley posted a quarterly loss of $327.6 million, or $1.78 per share, versus a year-ago net income of $27 million, or $0.13 per share. Its adjusted earnings came in at $0.46 per share. Its shares outstanding dropped 13% to 183.6 million. R.R. Donnelley's net sales rose to $2.72 billion from $2.71 billion. However, analysts were expecting a profit of $0.46 per share on revenue of $2.75 billion.
Lamar Advertising Co
LAMR posted upbeat fourth-quarter results, and issued strong revenue forecast for the first quarter. Lamar Advertising projects Q1 revenue of around $264 million, versus analysts' expectations of $262.2 million. Lamar Advertising's quarterly net income climbed to $6.4 million, or $0.07 per share, versus a loss of $7.1 million, or $0.08 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue surged to $288.2 million from $275.7 million. Analysts were projecting earnings of $0.01 per share on revenue of $284.1 million.
Toll Brothers Inc
TOL swung to a fiscal-first-quarter loss. Toll Brothers posted a quarterly loss of $2.8 million, or $0.02 per share, versus a year-ago net income of $3.4 million, or $0.02 per share. Its shares outstanding dropped 1.1% to 166.3 million. However, its revenue fell to $322 million from $334.1 million. However, analysts were projecting earnings of $0.02 per share on revenue of $360.8 million
Central European Media Enterprises
CETV posted a wider-than-expected quarterly loss. CETV posted a quarterly net loss of $77.23 million, versus a year-ago loss of $25.44 million. However, analysts expected a net profit of $3 million. CETV's revenue rose to $276.88 million, from $257.41 million. However, analysts were expecting revenue of $268 million. CETV posted a $12.11 operating loss, versus a year-ago operating profit of $41.90 million. Its fully diluted loss per share widened to $1.12, versus $0.41. However, operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) came in at $81.17 million, versus $64.78 million.
France Telecom SA
FTE reported a decline in its fourth-quarter adjusted earnings. France Telecom's quarterly earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization dropped to 3.47 billion euros ($4.6 billion), from €3.6 billion, in the year-earlier period. Its revenue fell to €11.43 billion from €11.7 billion. However, analysts were expecting EBITDA of €3.42 billion on sales of €11.38 billion.
Woodside Petroleum Ltd
WOPEY posted a 4.3% drop in its annual net profit. Woodside Petroleum's net profit for the period declined to US$1.51 billion, versus US$1.58 billion in 2010. Its underlying profit surged to US$1.66 billion, versus analysts' estimates of US$1.69 billion.
