Mitsubishi Heavy Reports Strong Rise In HI Net Profit

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd

reported a strong rise in its net profit for the six months through September. Mitsubishi Heavy's net profit for the fiscal first half climbed to Y39.89 billion, from Y17.37 billion, in the year-ago period. Its operating profit climbed 13% to Y73.18 billion from Y64.57 billion. Mitsubishi Heavy's revenue dropped 4.7% to Y1.294 trillion from Y1.357 trillion. Mitsubishi Heavy shares closed at $4.17 on Friday.
