UPDATE: Cal-Maine Reports 35% Decline In FQ1 Net Income

Cal-Maine Foods Inc

reported a 35% drop in its fiscal first-quarter net income. Cal-Maine reported its quarterly earnings at $3.1 million, or $0.13 per share, down from $4.8 million, or $0.20 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales climbed to $243.8 million from $190.4 million. Cal-Maine shares gained 0.40% to close at $30.43 on Friday.
