Special Dividends From Online Brokers (IBKR, OXPS)

Earlier yesterday optionsXpress Holdings, Inc.

announced it was issuing a special $4.50 per share dividend, and now fellow online broker Interactive Brokers Group, Inc.

is following suit. Interactive Brokers announced after the bell yesterday it was going to be paying $1.79 per share to shareholders as of December 9. The dividend will be paid on December 23. At last check, shares of IBKR were up 57 cents to $18.13, while OXPS was up 8 cents to $17.43.
