American Capital Surging After Earnings (ACAS)
American Capital (NASDAQ: ACAS) released its Q4 earnings results after the closing bell on Tuesday. The company reported earnings per share of $0.19 compared to analysts' consensus EPS estimates of $0.17. Net asset value per share was up 12% to $10.71.
The company also announced that its portfolio company triVIN Holdings, Inc. was acquired on January 31 by DealerTrack Holdings (NASDAQ: TRAK). American Capital received $72 million in proceeds and realized a gain of $11 million during the first quarter from the transaction, subject to post-closing adjustments.
In the after hours trading session, ACAS shares have gained 10.55% to $9.65.
