In a recent social media uproar, Tesla Inc CEO Elon MuskĀ has drawn criticism for his derogatory portrayal of Ukraineās president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Musk shared a meme on his Twitter platform, likening Zelenskyy to a beggar constantly seeking aid from the United States, Ukrainska Pravda reported. Musk, who recently foiled a Ukrainian drone assaultĀ on the Russian Navy inĀ Crimea, has previously been complimented by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Muskās post was met with swift condemnation. Comments flooded in, reminding Musk that Zelenskyyās plea for aid is aimed at protecting his people from harm, contrasting Muskās usage of substantial subsidies from his own country to increase his wealth and grow his businesses.
āZelensky is fighting Russia. You couldn't fight Zuckerberg,ā said one user.
Previously, Musk had been seen in a favorable light by Putin, and he had shut down Starlink to deter Ukrainians from attacking Russians.
