Selling products on, Inc. AMZN and getting them listed on the front page involves a combination of strategies and skills. At the same time, a definitive formula for achieving front-page placement is also essential for the key considerations to maximize your profitability.

Meet Kevin Pak, who explored Amazon as a platform to make online money for selling his products through the Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) in 2018.

After initial hiccups and mistakes, which cost him about $15,000, Pak learned from his early attempts on making money online, is that no matter how great your product is, if it's not landing on Amazon's first page, then it'll be challenging to reach to the target audience, the Insider reported

According to the report, most of Pak's products are toys for dogs and kids. He made $289,000 in revenue and $127,000 in profit in 2022. December was his biggest month when he sold $73,000 worth of products on Amazon.

His lowest earning month was in September 2022, when he made nearly $13,000.

Here are the top vital tips that helped Pak rank his products on the front page of Amazon listings.

The first step would be to use great images for the products showing their unique qualities.

"Being as detailed as possible is essential because you want your product to land in front of the customers looking for the exact thing you're offering. This increases the chances of a click converting into a sale, the Insider quoted Pak saying.

The second-best practice to show your product on the front page is using specific search-engine-optimized descriptors keywords.

"You'll probably turn up with a long list of keywords. Therefore, you still want to filter it further by only picking the particular keywords for your product. Also, avoid the words with the highest search volumes, Pak advised.

He also advised to avoid adjusting the title and images on the product's page after it has launched. He said the changes could prompt Amazon to reshuffle the listing, dropping its ranking.

Pak said that once the product has a good landing page, you should consider running a paid-per-click advertising campaign for better mileage.

Running a product-targeting campaign with a conservative starting budget is also a pro tip to get good rankings for the products. For example, the report said Pak runs a product-targeting campaign, which puts his products under other competitors' listings.

Pak also noted that tracking how high each keyword ranks throughout your ad campaign is a good trick for your online products. "This will allow you to allocate your budget where it's needed," he said.

Finally, he said the product's pricing is essential when starting to sell the product on Amazon.

"Products that generate high sales in the first few days receive a new release badge on Amazon. That's going to be huge to help boost your ranking. And usually, you can get those high sales if you price your product low enough," Pak added.
