Stellantis Italy Workers Protest Slows Alfa Output: Report - Stellantis (NYSE:STLA)

Stellantis NV STLA workers in Southern Italy protesting unsanitary work conditions have slowed down production of Alfa Romeo Tonales and Fiat Panda models.
On the third day of protests, some of the workers at Pomigliano d’Arco plant nearby Naples halted work for two hours, reported Bloomberg.
“The plant is dirty and the toilets stink,” said head of the Fiom union’s automotive arm, Simone Marinelli.
“Work overalls are missing — some workers have to wait months to have the old and worn out ones replaced.”

The concern over the unclean toilets, a lack of work gear and insufficient heating is attributed to cutbacks with the motive to save costs.
Reacting to the accusations, Stellantis said it always acts within the framework of labor contracts and with respect for its employees.
