Activision Explored Offering World of Warcraft in China After Recently Dumping NetEase Partnership - (ATVI)

Activision Blizzard, Inc ATVI discussed with potential new partners to continue offering its hit game World of Warcraft in China.
In November, the U.S. videogame publisher decided not to renew the deal with its current Chinese partner NetEase, Inc NTES, Reuters reports.
Blizzard China, the company's Chinese subsidiary, shared on Weibo Corp WB that it discussed with new publishing partners in China to continue the game's service in the country.

Blizzard China will let gamers save the progress of their game and some user data offline before January 23, when Blizzard's license with NetEase expires.
Gamers can restore their game progress once they identify a new publisher.
Blizzard-NetEase partnership had long been considered one of the industry's most lucrative in video games.
