Economic Data Scheduled For Tuesday

• Data on housing starts and permits for September will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. Analysts expect a 1.621 million annual pace for September housing starts, compared to 1.615 million in the previous month. Permits are likely to slow to 1.680 million for September versus 1.728 million a month ago.
• Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco President Mary Daly is set to speak at 8:00 a.m. ET.
• Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia President Patrick Harker will speak at 8:50 a.m. ET.
• The Johnson Redbook Retail Sales Index for the latest week is scheduled for release at 8:55 a.m. ET.
• Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta President Raphael Bostic is set to speak at 1:00 p.m. ET.
