President-elect Donald Trump will officially drop the "elect" adjective on Friday and be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States.
Meanwhile, the majority of Americans have no plans of tuning in to the inauguration ceremony, according to Statista.
Statista, citing Pew Research Center, found that just 46 percent of Americans plan on watching the inauguration ceremony. Among Republicans and Republican-leaning Americans, 69 percent plan on watching their candidate take the oath, while just 30 percent of Democrats and Democratic-leaning supporters will be watching the president being sworn in.
Statista also cited similar data sets for President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration and President Bill Clinton's 1993 inauguration. Unfortunately, data for President George W. Bush were not available.

- Sixty-seven (67) percent of Americans planned on watching Obama being sworn in as the 44th president of the United States.
- Among Republicans and Republican-leaning Americans, 47 percent planned on watching the inauguration.
- Among Democratic and Democratic supporters, 84 percent planned on watching the inauguration.
1993, Clinton

- Among Republicans and Republican-leaning Americans, a similar 47 percent planned on watching the inauguration.
