12 Biggest Mid-Day Losers For Thursday

  • OvaScience Inc (NASDAQ: OVAS) shares tumbled 50.4 percent to $1.47 after the company announced plans to reduce workforce by 30 percent and disclosed that its CEO Harald Stock is stepping down.
  • Aurinia Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: AUPH) shares dipped 21.8 percent to $2.13 after the company reported a US$25.0 million bought deal financing.
  • Lpath Inc (NASDAQ: LPTN) shares fell 16.4 percent to $3.05. Lpath shares have increased 11.61 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 11.09 percent in the same period.
  • Red Hat Inc (NYSE: RHT) shares dropped 12.2 percent to $70.07. Red Hat reported upbeat earnings for its third quarter, but sales missed expectations. The company also announced that its CFO Frank Calderoni is stepping down.
  • AAR Corp. (NYSE: AIR) shares declined 8.8 percent to $34.27. AAR reported Q2 earnings from continuing operations of $0.35 per share on revenue of $423.8 million.
  • Zumiez Inc. (NASDAQ: ZUMZ) fell 8.6 percent to $20.85. B. Riley downgraded Zumiez from Buy to Neutral and lowered the price target from $27.00 to $25.00.
  • Kirkland's, Inc. (NASDAQ: KIRK) dropped 8.1 percent to $15.29. B. Riley downgraded Kirkland's from Buy to Neutral.
  • GEE Group Inc (NYSE: JOB) shares slipped 8 percent to $4.10 after the company reported consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year. GEE Group posted net income of around $1 million on revenue of $21.8 million.
  • Delcath Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: DCTH) shares fell 8 percent to $1.04. Delcath shares have tumbled 87.61 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 11.09 percent in the same period.
  • Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBY) declined 6.4 percent to $42.63 after the company reported weaker-than-expected results for its third quarter on Wednesday.
  • Fred's, Inc. (NASDAQ: FRED) dropped 5.6 percent to $19.21. Fred's shares have climbed 25.23 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 11.09 percent in the same period.
  • Finish Line Inc (NASDAQ: FINL) shares fell 3.8 percent to $20.21. Bank of America downgraded Finish Line from Buy to Neutral, while Canaccord Genuity downgraded the stock from Buy to Hold.
