The Dow fell 0.13 percent 19,192.03, while the NASDAQ composite index gained 0.01 percent to 5,309.25. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 0.05 percent to 2,203.57.

The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Drug Related Products: This industry slipped 1.3 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Perrigo Company plc (NYSE: PRGO), which fell 1.6 percent. Perrigo shares have dropped 42.54 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 6.15 percent in the same period.
  • Department Stores: This industry declined 1.3 percent by 11:00 am with Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Inc (NASDAQ: SHOS) moving down 5 percent. Sears Hometown and Outlet shares have declined 11.64 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 6.15 percent in the same period.
  • Processing Systems & Products: The industry dropped 1.1 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Msci Inc (NYSE: MSCI), which declined 2.1 percent. Msci shares have climbed 14.26 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 6.15 percent in the same period.
  • Discount, Variety Stores: This industry fell 1 percent by 11:00 am ET. Burlington Stores Inc (NYSE: BURL) shares dropped 1.5 percent in today's trading.
