The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Meat Products: This industry slipped 5.3 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Tyson Foods, Inc. TSN, which fell 14 percent. Tyson posted downbeat quarterly earnings and reported that its Donnie Smith is stepping down as CEO.
  • Toy & Hobby Stores: This industry declined 2.8 percent by 11:00 am with Build-A-Bear Workshop, Inc BBW moving down 2.4 percent. Build-A-Bear shares have climbed 15.45 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 4.57 percent in the same period.
  • Investment Brokerage - Regional: The industry dropped 1.2 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Raymond James Financial, Inc. RJF, which declined 1.6 percent. Raymond James shares have surged 27.53 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 4.57 percent in the same period.
  • Advertising Agencies: This industry fell 0.7 percent by 11:00 am ET. Chinanet Online Holdings Inc CNET shares dropped 7.9 percent in today's trading.
