Harris Corporation HRS shares rose 2.1 percent to reach a new 52-week high of $96.29 after the company disclosed that it has been awarded a $43 million follow-on contract by the National Cancer Institute's Center for Cancer Research. Cowen & Co. upgraded Harris from Market Perform to Outperform.
MGM Resorts International MGM shares reached a new 52-week high of $28.22 as the company delivered better than expected earnings for the third quarter.
Blue Nile Inc NILE shares rose 33.4 percent to touch a new 52-week high of $40.60 after the company disclosed a deal with Bain Capital Private Equity and Bow Street LLC for $40.75 a share in cash.
Datalink Corporation DTLK shares touched a new 52-week high of $11.18 after Insight Enterprises, Inc. NSIT announced plans to acquire Datalink for $11.25 per share in cash.
