The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Home Health Care: This industry slipped 3.3 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was Surgical Care Affiliates Inc SCAI, which fell 6.8 percent. Surgical Care Affiliates reported a Q3 profit of $13.3 million on revenue of $322.8 million.
  • Diagnostic Substances: This industry declined 2.4 percent by 11:00 am with IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. IDXX moving down 3.1 percent. Idexx Laboratories reported a Q3 profit of $56.5 million on revenue of $448.3 million.
  • Cement: This industry fell 2.1 percent by 11:00 am ET. Cemex SAB de CV (ADR) CX shares dropped 2.3 percent in today's trading. Cemex shares have climbed 41.94 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 1.05 percent in the same period.
  • Long-Term Care Facilities: The industry dropped 1.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was Brookdale Senior Living, Inc. BKD, which declined 20 percent. Brookdale Senior Living reported a Q3 loss of $51.7 million.
