The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Industrial Equipment & Components: This industry slipped 4.1 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was General Cable Corporation BGC, which fell 1.1 percent. General Cable shares have declined 4.30 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 3.56 percent in the same period.
  • Auto Parts Stores: This industry declined 2.7 percent by 11:00 am with O'Reilly Automotive Inc ORLY moving down 4.3 percent. O'Reil posted downbeat Q3 earnings.
  • Synthetics: This industry fell 1.6 percent by 11:00 am ET. Lightbridge Corp LTBR shares dropped 1.8 percent in today's trading. Lightbridge shares have declined 75.51 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has increased 3.56 percent in the same period.
  • Internet Software & Services: The industry dropped 1.5 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was QuinStreet Inc QNST, which declined 3.3 percent.
