  • Schmitt Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: SMIT) rose 19.9 percent to $1.81. Schmitt Industries shares have dropped 51.62 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 7.62 percent in the same period.
  • GenMark Diagnostics, Inc (NASDAQ: GNMK) shares climbed 19.7 percent to $10.56. Cowen & Co. upgraded GenMark Diagnostics from Market Perform to Outperform.
  • Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (USA) (NYSE: MCZ) rose 17.7 percent to $0.225 as the company disclosed that it has sold its Saitek simulation product line to Logitech International SA (USA) (NASDAQ: LOGI) for $13 million in cash.

  • Avis Budget Group Inc. (NASDAQ: CAR) shares gained 7.3 percent to $37.64. Avis Budget will replace Questar Corporation (NYSE: STR) in the S&P MidCap 400 after the close of trading on Friday.
  • Alimera Sciences Inc (NASDAQ: ALIM) shares rose 5.6 percent to $1.61. Cowen & Co. upgraded Alimera Sciences from Market Perform to Outperform.
  • GoPro Inc (NASDAQ: GPRO) shares rose 5.2 percent to $14.90. Bank of America initiated coverage on GoPro with a Buy rating.
  • Lightinthebox Holding Co Ltd-ADR (NYSE: LITB) shares rose 3.2 percent to $2.95. LightInTheBox is expected to report Q2 financial results on September 19, 2016.
