The worst performing industries in the market today are:

  • Internet Service Providers: This industry slipped 2.9 percent by 11:00 am. The worst stock within the industry was TrueCar Inc TRUE, which fell 6.6 percent. TrueCar shares have climbed 118.07 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 16.48 percent in the same period.
  • Diversified Computer Systems: This industry declined 2.7 percent by 11:00 am with HP Inc HPQ moving down 3.3 percent. HP reported upbeat results for its third quarter, but issued weak profit guidance for the current quarter.
  • Drug Stores: This industry fell 1.7 percent by 11:00 am ET. Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc WBA shares dropped 0.7 percent in today's trading. Walgreens Boots Alliance shares have gained 0.58 percent over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has surged 16.48 percent in the same period.
  • Drugs Wholesale: The industry dropped 1.3 percent by 11:00 am. The worst performer in this industry was McKesson Corporation MCK, which declined 1.7 percent. Gold futures fell 1.3 percent to trade at $1,329.10 an ounce.
