PFE is close to a deal to acquire Medivation for about $14 billion or approximately $80 per share, according to sources as reported by
Financial Times on Sunday. Celgene

GILD and Sanofi
SNY also were said to be bidding for Medivation.
Medivation closed Friday at $67.16, down $0.03.
Renewed Chatter of Potential GE Bid for First SolarThe Rumor:

A GE spokesperson declined comment on the rumor. First Solar did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
First Solar closed at $37.80 on Friday, up $0.28.

Talks with GM were said the be the most serious, though the nation's largrest automaker never made a formal bid.
